Zach’s Story
We are so thankful for Zach’s willingness to share his story. Many of you have asked when we will post his story online. However, we have decided to wait and post the video after Easter. The goal is to give Sevier Heights a fresh look at this powerful story.
This Easter, Sevier Heights is inviting Knoxville to Find Your Story. On April 8 during our 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services, Zach will tell his story. But this time, Zach’s parents will share their side. Join us as we hear the pain of almost losing a child woven together with joy of welcoming a lost son home.
Everybody has a story. Find yours on Easter.
If You Build It…
...they will play.
We’ve got an opportunity to leave a tangible, lasting impact in Haiti. With One Vision International continuing construction on the new orphanage, we want to offer a hand. While we can’t help with the structures that will serve to shelter the orphans, we can help with the structures that will serve to bring joy to the orphans.
The Walk has a chance to help One Vision fund and build the play structure that will last long after we’re gone.
“Who can jump the farthest out of a swing?”
“Can you hang upside down off the monkey bars?”
“Check out how fast I can run up the slide.”
These are memories we made as kids playing on a playground. Why not give these kids the chance to make their own memories?
How?
GO: The Walk is taking a team of students down May 25-29. We’ll get there and immediately start building. We’ll leave to the sound of the orphans laughing as they race down the slides. For details, shoot us an .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) ASAP.
GIVE: In the coming weeks, you’ll have a chance to donate toward the play structure. Begin praying over what God would have you give.
We have more than we need because they have less than they need. What will you do about it?
Moving to Tuesdays
We’re making your dreams come true - see a basketball game AND go to The Walk all in one week.
The Walk will be on TUESDAYS at 9:00 p.m. throughout February, starting February 7.
Small Group Sign-Ups
You come to The Walk and feel slightly overwhelmed by the massive room and by the people milling around. You’re not real sure how you’re expected to meet people, to connect with people, if everyone’s going 23074 different directions. Welp, we’re going to nip that problem right in the bud. (Sidenote: What’s a nip and why are so many buds in need of them?)
Small groups help you to create, and grow, connections with other students who attend The Walk. We’ll put you in a group with people your same gender and age, struggling with the same issues. Your small group is where you can ask the tough questions, tackle the confusing issues and find the encouragement that you’ve been missing. People who may start as strangers could quickly prove themselves as the best friends you’ve ever had.
Fill out the form below and give it a shot. We’ll put you in a group that fits your schedule, so don’t worry about “busyness.” Everyone needs a breather. Small groups are your breath of fresh air…and some even have baked goods. Eating AND breathing?! What a combo.
Submit the form below and see the impact a small group of close friends can have on your life.
